  • 8 slices Vogel’s Original Toast
  • 1 brown onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tins (390g) Cannelini Beans
  • 1 tin (400g) diced tomatoes
  • 70g Tomato Paste
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • ¼ Cup Vegetable Stock
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes, optional
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Chopped Basil, to garnish

Preparation

  1. In a medium sized saucepan, sauté the onion and garlic until soft and translucent.
  2. Add all the remaining ingredients and bring to boil.
  3. Reduce the temperature and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Toast your Vogel’s to your desired toastiness and top with a generous helping of hot tomato beans. Sprinkle chopped basil and enjoy!
