- 8 slices Vogel’s Original Toast
- 1 brown onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 tins (390g) Cannelini Beans
- 1 tin (400g) diced tomatoes
- 70g Tomato Paste
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- ¼ Cup Vegetable Stock
- 1 tsp chilli flakes, optional
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- Chopped Basil, to garnish
- In a medium sized saucepan, sauté the onion and garlic until soft and translucent.
- Add all the remaining ingredients and bring to boil.
- Reduce the temperature and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Toast your Vogel’s to your desired toastiness and top with a generous helping of hot tomato beans. Sprinkle chopped basil and enjoy!
