Key Facts About Gluten Testing

  • The New Zealand and Australian Food Standards Code (FSANZ) states that a gluten free claim cannot be made unless a food contains no detectable gluten and no ingredients derived from oats or malt.
  • The current levels of testing gluten can be read down to 3ppm (parts per million).
  • Keeping a strict gluten-free diet is a lifelong necessity for people with coeliac disease. If you react to gluten, talk to a health professional and get tested for coeliac disease before removing it from your diet. find out more at coeliac.org.nz

Gluten Free Cereal

Ensuring a breakfast free from wheat gluten can sometimes be a little daunting and we go to great lengths to ensure our mueslis are free from gluten and can be enjoyed by all who are following a gluten free diet.

Our production facility has strict allergen management procedures and systems in place to prevent any cross contamination. During manufacture of gluten free products, the manufacturing plant is dedicated to only making gluten free products to eliminate all possible cross contact risks.

We conduct gluten testing on all product contact surfaces prior to production to validate surfaces are free from gluten and all Vogel’s finished products are tested for gluten, to a detectable level of 3ppm.
